About Lauren Freeman
Lauren Freeman is a born and bred Louisville native from a family steeped in legal tradition.
Lauren was an International Baccalaureate student at Atherton High School and subsequently earned a place on the Dean’s List multiple times as an undergraduate at the University of Louisville, where she focused on Cultural Anthropology and Communications. She went on to attend the Brandeis School of Law, graduating with honors, earning CALI awards for excellence in Family Law and Contract Drafting, and being elected Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Animal & Environmental Law.
Lauren utilized a limited practice license to represent victims of domestic violence as a third-year law student. This experience not only showcased her advocacy and empathy for the vulnerable but also strengthened her skills and passion for litigation. Freeman Law was established in 2022, building on the previous success of Bishop Friend PSC, where Lauren practiced under the guidance of Louisville employment lawyers Joe Bishop and the late, great John Friend.
When not fighting for the rights of others, Lauren indulges in a range of pursuits that reflect her adventurous spirit. Whether skydiving, hiking treacherous trails, or playing a board game at home with her family, Lauren’s competitive nature is evident in all aspects of her endeavors.
Lauren is a member of the Kentucky Bar Association and admitted to practice in the U.S. District Courts for the Western and Eastern Districts of Kentucky, and the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals.
